However the company group has been built on foundations of a great experience and expertise coming from far before these years.

As the core company of the group, Cihangir İnşaat have successfully completed all projects until today by preserving the values Mehmet Cihangir Yücel has given to the company group with his experience and know-how.

Cihangir Group founder Cihangir Yücel majored in civil engineering with General Directorate of Highways Scholarship, after successful completion of his boarding school. After graduating from the university as a civil engineer (M. Sc.) in 1971, he worked in various capacities at General Directorate of Highways in order to serve his country professionally. Starting as a resident engineer, he maintained his professional activities in roles such as site chief and site manager. Continued his career a while more as a group manager at General Directorate of Highways in Ankara, Yücel has completed many highway projects during his term that contributed to the development of transportation in our country.

Considering the opportunities construction industry in Libya presented at the time he left the office, Mehmet Cihangir Yücel also took office as a site chief in the country. He also completed projects as a contractor and as soon as he returned to his country, he laid the foundations of Cihangir İnşaat by utilizing his experiences.

Founded in 1981, Cihangir İnşaat has achieved many construction, infrastructure and undertaking projects in public and private sectors both by means of its own resources and expertise, and powerful partnerships in many locations in our country.

Carrying on its activities as a limited company since 2001, Cihangir İnşaat has a major significance in terms of standing as a starting point for construction; the main business line of Cihangir Group.

Today, Cihangir Group carries on its activities in a wide vision not limited only to construction and is managed by the second generation of Yücel family with civil engineering majors, Ömer Yücel and Cumhur Yücel.
